Macarty & Norris, at 1 Mellor Street, West Ryde NSW 2114, respects your privacy. This policy explains the information involved in website inspection enquiries, the purposes of enquiry information, and how to contact us about it.
Information you provide
The inspection form asks for your name, email address and phone number; vehicle make, model, year, registration number, chassis number or VIN, and paint code or colour; your description of the damage and other information you choose to provide; and any vehicle photographs you attach.
Photographs may show registration plates, faces, personal belongings or location information. Include only material needed to assess the vehicle. Avoid uploading identity documents, payment details, medical information or photographs of unrelated people. Only provide information about another person if you have authority to do so.
How information is collected and used
The form contains fields for information you provide directly. Contact and vehicle information supports responses to repair enquiries, vehicle identification, initial assessments, inspection arrangements and repair estimates. Online form submission is currently unavailable.
Providing photographs does not guarantee a repair price or authorise repair work. A physical inspection may be necessary. You can call the workshop instead of completing the online form. Without enough contact or vehicle information, we may be unable to respond or assess the enquiry.
Purpose of your enquiry information
The form is for repair and inspection enquiries. It is not a marketing subscription. Submitting a photo is not permission to publish it in our gallery or advertising.
Australian hosting and data location
All our servers are hosted in Australia. Information submitted to our enquiry service is kept in Australia and is not transferred overseas.
Enquiry photos are resized and compressed for delivery as email attachments to the workshop. It does not request payment-card details, database passwords or API credentials.
Enquiry retention
Server-held enquiry details and processed photos are retained for 30 days from submission, then permanently deleted by scheduled cleanup without moving them to a recycle bin. Emails and attachments delivered to the workshop mailbox are separate copies and remain there until deleted under the mailbox retention arrangements. Hosting backup copies are managed separately from the cleanup job.
Website links and technical information
No analytics or advertising service is connected. The web server records basic request information to serve pages and diagnose errors.
Google review and directions buttons are external links. These links do not send enquiry-form entries to Google. The Contact page automatically loads an OpenStreetMap map. Its provider receives connection information such as your IP address and browser details under its privacy policy. This connection is separate from the Australia-hosted enquiry service; form entries are not sent to the map provider.
Access, correction and privacy requests
Contact us to ask what enquiry information we hold about you, request a copy, correct an error or request deletion. We may need to verify your identity using only information reasonably necessary for the request. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain the reason and any available next steps.
Privacy concerns and complaints
Please contact the workshop with your concern and enough detail for us to investigate. We will acknowledge the complaint and aim to respond within 30 days. If more time is needed, we will explain why. If you remain dissatisfied, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner to ask about available complaint options.
